Since the summer of 2007 there has been a new force on the streets of Brighton. A force that combines grinding riffs, heavy beats and no-nonsense vocals to create a sound that ishard to miss and impossible to forget. That force is BY DEFINITION.

From humble beginnings as a side project of the two guitarists, Dan and Rob, BY DEFINITION quickly gathered momentum with the inclusion of Stex on vocals and Fil on drums. But it wasn’t until the addition of their bass player J, in 2009, that BY DEFINITION became its own beast.

Described as 'Straight ahead, Black Label Society styled, whiskey soaked dirty rock' by Rock Sound Magazine, BY DEFINITION have been burning up the South’s music scene with their current EP Eyes On Wires. With influences such as Clutch, Helmet and Corrosion of Conformity, and backed up by an explosive live show, BY DEFINITION are bigger and badder than ever before.
